I’ve been itching to post a write-up about this guy (above photo) couple of months ago but I opted not to (for a reason which I will eventually share to you). Anyway, I am not sure if the picture is familiar to the ladies in the house so let me share to you some things that I found in the net about him. His name is CHRIS CENDAÑA, a 26-year old Filipino-American musician, singer and song writer who can melt any woman’s heart through his talent in singing with his guitar. I have seen this guy a lot via the net. He has great talent and he mentioned in one of the articles that I read that his sister and the Lord are his inspirations. He is so awesome and got a nice smile too. He sings his own compositions and also does covers for some songs from great artists like Apologies of One Republic, I'm Yours of Jason Mraz, Collide of Howie Day, Wonderful Tonight of Eric Clapton and many more (and mind you, he is even better than the original artists, I think). He has a lot of followers online who subscribe to his music and wait for him to go live via BlogTV where he interacts with his so-called “fans” (and he seems to be so friendly when I watched some of the archived airings). And due to the popularity of this guy, he even launched a contest in March 2008 via YouTube for those who would like to make their own rendition (video) of his original songs. The prize? An 8-gig iPod Nano with his engraved signature. Cool!! And you know what, I was surprised that he did even upload a video when he proposed to his girl in the highest mountain in Morgantown, WV. Check that video out in YouTube (title is "The Box"). Sweet!! Oh, and there was also this video when he was in a kitchen doing some cooking. Amazing! =)Here are some personal details which I just copied from somewhere (at least I didn’t claim it’s my original. LOL!!):
About Chris Cendana:
At the age of 5, Chris started to play piano, making his own renditions of songs he had heard his family members play and started to pick up music theory from observation. When he turned 10, percussion became his passion and he began to play a role more and more in high school drumlines until he was 20 years old. At the age of 13, Chris learned the art of turntablism from his brother. People also refer to Chris as DJ Cendana in the Huntington area, known for his unique scratching style and blend. Finally, at 20, he began to play guitar in his spare time, learning chords with his friends, but was greatly influenced by Play's lead guitarist, Rocky Savilla. Chris now resides in Morgantown, WV. He has played in many different venues -- Black Bear (Morgantown, WV), Bocktown (Pittsburgh, PA), Blue Violet (Beaver, PA), 123 Pleasant Street (Morgantown, WV), Big Sandy Arena (Huntington, WV), Borders (Huntington, WV), Java Joint (Huntington, WV), Empire Books (Huntington, WV), Icon (Huntington, WV), Red Iguana (Huntington, WV), Holderby's Landing (Huntington, WV), Lola's (Charleston, WV), Sound Factory (Charleston, WV), and more.

Anyway, it’s pointless to keep on talking about how good he is and what he does (or did). Just go ahead and visit his URL’s and start to hold on tight to your seats, clean your eyeglasses (or contacts), watch, be captivated with his voice and talent and get back to me with the title of your favorite video of Chris Cendana - a very talented Pinoy in West Virginia who's making waves in the net. Happy viewing!! P.S. I HEART CHRIS CENDAÑA!!!! =)

No wonder you heart Chris!
Galing his voice! I watched "When the Lights Burn Out" and thought it was pretty romantic. Then, I watched The Box, which I found to be excruciatingly long - maybe because I was watching somebody else's proposal. LOL I skimmed through that paragraph so i thought it was the title of a song. Hahaha. Congrats to Chris and his gf (kakahiya, I forgot her name but I remember what her back looks like).
Nadya, wala ka nang chance! LOL
song about friendship
Actually the Song "When the Lights Burn Out" is about two friends who got some kind of misunderstanding during their last conversation and never spoke after that. Then, years later, they just found themselves talking again, as if nothing has happened before and the friendship has been restored. Sweet, isn't it? (And this song is #1 in my music playlist before I start working in the office).
There are actually a lot more songs that he personally wrote. You may also would want to check out "Without You". It's about being lonely when you see your love ones go away. This can be something that you guys there overseas could relate with, lalo na pag lilipad na via plane ang mga loved ones nyo. Try it, and I am sure you will like it too. Sad song nga lang siya. =)
Gf's name..
His girl's name is "Lydia". I saw this video where Chris was doing some cooking in his kitchen then Lydia appeared at the back and got something from the fridge. Wala na akong chance? Silly! LOL. I am more into the music noh! The good looks and his cute smile (with dimples) are just added "pampakilig" factors. Haha!!
You cannot have him
He is very much taken Nadya and perhap's wait until he is free again. In the meantime, a beautiful lady like you should have no troubles with admirers looking like Chris.
Why do we always want someone or something we cannot have. Then once achieved we lose interest.
Filipino artists
Im not very musical but given the chance I will listen to this young man singing in person. Who do not want to hear Filipino singer with great voice.
Thanks for posting this Nadya and will search for his songs...
Talented artist
I have just listened to him singing Nadya. Deffinitely a talented guy with a great voice.Thank you for the links.
talented indeed
Thanks for taking time checking the URL's, Corrine. I bet that anyone who will see his videos will really be amazed on how good this Pinoy dude is. I really wish that he'll be demanded in Manila soon.. I've browsed a site and there are already 4 people demanding him to be in Quezon City. I do hope that the number will increase so that it could be possible for him to have a performance in his origin land. And if that happens, I bet my ass that I will be in the front seat. Hehehe...
Your beauty!
Nadya if you sat on the front row when Chris is performing you might just distracted him with your beauty. Do make sure the gf is not there when you do girl.
front row seater
I will surely do remember that, Crazy Corrine. LOL!! =)
