TODAY'S TIDBIT:
“I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.” - Psalm 17:6

In my business, I always need the cellphone to keep in touch with my clients and the airlines. So I have not one, but two, cellphones just to make sure I’m always accessible.
One day, my husband and I agreed to meet in Southmall. He was commuting from Makati and I was going to pick him up there. We agreed that I will call him once I was done with my errands. After I finished my business with the bank, I decided to make the call. That’s when I realized I left both phones at home. Earlier, I put them in a bag I wanted to use. But harassed with all the things I had to do at home, I picked up another bag instead.
I tried calling him on the pay phone. Since I didn’t memorize his number, I was just guessing what number to dial. And not one of the numbers I dialed was correct! I thought I would just go home and call him from there. But then it started raining very hard and I didn’t want him to commute home in bad weather. I went to all the places he normally goes to hoping to bump into him. I couldn’t find him. It is a big mall and there were a lot of people that time. What were the chances I would find him?
At a loss and tired from all the walking, I started to pray for a small miracle. After a while, I saw him going towards the exit. He said he was at the second floor passing the time. It was a place he didn’t go to so I never thought to look there. Right around the time I started to pray, he decided to go down to find out if there was a shuttle passing by our village.
This is a small miracle. But it shows that when we call, God answers. No need for a cellphone. Just dial direct.
